Rules and Policies for Passengers Aboard Prudence and Bay Island Transport Vessels
For your safety and the safety of others please observe the following policies and rules while aboard the ferry:
Respect the captain and crew at all times.
There is no smoking allowed anywhere on the ferry.
No gasoline, kerosene, propane or other inflammable material are permitted on the ferry per the USCG.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
All pets must be leashed or in carriers.
Access to pilot house and engine room is not permitted by passengers.
Remain seated and off the stairs while the ferry is docking.
Once the ferry has docked, vehicles will exit the ferry first, passengers must remain out of the way during this time until the deckhand signals you to exit the ferry.
When operating a vehicle on the ferry and at ferry terminals, follow the deckhand’s signals at all times and do not move your vehicle until you are signaled to do so. Please turn off the vehicle engine and keep your vehicle lights off until the ferry is fully docked.
Prudence and Bay Islands Transport is not responsible for damage to vehicles while moving on or off the vessels, damage to freight being shipped or stored at either terminal, or any vehicles parked at the Prudence or Bristol terminal or contents left in these vehicles.
